Fibromyalgia is a part of me,
I didn't realise how much it could be.
It's not just this condition I have to live with,
I also deal with ME.
ME makes my fatigue a separate entity, But it doesn't change my identity. I do my best with what I've got, But it's difficult to deal with mentally.
Sometimes it's hard to tell,
Which flare up is making me feel unwell.
When they both play up at the same time,
It feels like I'm burning in hell.
But with support I'm slowly learning, That with good friends and a little bit of cursing, I can lessen the frequency, Of the flare ups returning.
Sometimes my brain and body feel hazy, And I can get called incredibly lazy. It hurts to hear but I know it's not true, Even if everyone just thinks I'm crazy.
Fibromyalgia is a part of me,
And so is the condition of ME.
I suffer every single day,
But I am still proud to be me.
