Stomach issues and fibromyalgia go hand in hand
It is the most unpredictable symptom
And you never know when it’s going to act up
…
You can develop intolerances to certain foods
This happens at random without any warning
Suddenly you can’t eat that food anymore
…
Regularly prone to indigestion and cramps
Nausea and and upset stomach due to pain or fatigue
Something you ate or for no reason at all
…
Irritable bowel syndrome is a crossover illness
That is connected to fibromyalgia and chronic illness
Your bowel is as unpredictable as your pain
…
There are things you can do to avoid stomach issues
Cut out foods that aggravate it
Try not to drink alcohol very often
…
Stress at work or home can make it worse
Some things you cannot fix, try not to worry too much
Keep a diary to work out what is making it worse
…
If you are worries visit a doctor
There could be something more going on
It’s always worth getting checked out
…
Some days you just have to deal with it
Add it to the list of problems and let it be
Have different medication you can take when it flares up
…
It can be tough and embarrassing
But it is a part of your life now
You are stronger than your illness

Hi Bethan, Sorry you get these stomach issues. Me too. You explained them well. I am glad you feel that you are stronger than your illness. That is the only way to go. We have an illness and we deal with it every day and we keep on going. We are strong. When I see you smiling face that is what I think.

I have been like this for 40+ years (since teens.) Don’t let anyone tell you anything other than that it is hell on earth. These last few years I have just had so much thrown at me health-wise – and yet I still keep smiling. I don’t know how!!!
